I'd set them on top of the family TV with one side of them under a bottle of Sunny D or something (something heavy enough to keep them from falling off the TV). I believe his reaction will tell you everything you need to know. Worst case, they disappear silently but the Sunny D bottle remains.

There are 2 reasons,
Either 1. They got mixed in when laundry was put away,
Or 2. he is using them when he masterbates. Yes 11 yr olds do do that. I caught my son at 10, No mother should have to walk in on that EWWW i bet im turning red even now. Do they look and feel clean? Some boys just like how they feel and some use them to *** in to "clean up the mess" Just be thankfull he isnt flushing them, think what that would cost in plumbing bills.

Good question...my 10 yr old had his sister underwear (this was just discovered last week) I have been told that is part of growing up & that tender age when they are interested in girls & themselves, but don't know how to handle it or want anyone else to know about their likings. What I did is we, my husband & I sat down and talked with our son asked him personal questions & his feelings (no one else was around when you talked with him) We did not embarass him or yell at him, just camly talked. I did re-wash the underwear and put them back in the right pile. The important thing is not to scold your son, because it may have been a mistake or maybe he knew they were there. You knowing is embarassing enough to him. I know this first hand..

Understand that he is young and is probably just now having a sexual awakening. I do not know why he had your panties, I would ask him about it, not with anger, but with understanding. Find out what he was curious about. If he was curious about how they looked on him, then you can discourage that by telling him that girls clothes are for girls and boys look silly if they wear them.
I would be sure that he is not looking at you as a sex object. Be sure that he understands that relatives (Mother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, etc.) are completely off limits when it comes to sexual curiosity.
See if you can find out if he got the idea to take your panties from someone else.
Be sure that he doesn't have or isn't developing a fetish for panties.
Be sure that he doesn't have or isn't developing a sexual deviancy.

Nothing. Take them back, wash them, and put them back in your drawer. They just as easily could have been mixed up in the wash or attached to the under side of something and they were not noticed when putting up the laundry. He should be more interested in a Playboy Mag than his Mom's panties. 5 year olds have a lust for their mother's not normally 11 year olds. Take 'em back and see what happens. If you find more there, you'll just have to point blank confront him.

I agree, leaving the panties out will only embarrass him. It is time for the talk mom. Or Dad. I have teenagers and I talk to them about everything. Even things that are hard to say, have to be said. And also explain discretion to him. My dad walked in on me when I was about 12 and teased me about it. I was ashamed for years. Not till I hit my 30's did I come to realize that I was doing what normal people do.

He is exploring his sexuality - if you or his father havent had the talk with him now is the time. Dispell the myths and create an open dialog. I would leave the panties out of it it will only embarass him :). One of my friends walked in on his son and he had handcuffed his ankle to his wrist and was, well, you know... its all just part of adolescents
Good luck.

I would first rule out the possibility of them getting mixed in with his laundry on accident. Then I would keep watch out for the next time before going any further. At our house weve all gotten someone elses clothes mixed with ours at some point.

maybe u put it in there by accident. i am assuming that since u clean his room, u must also do his laundry.
now that this has happened be more alert, the next time u do laundry to ensure that u don't do it again (if u did in fact do it). if u do find more of your panties, i would confront him and ask him why.

Leave them on his bed one day while he is in school and see what he does with them when he comes home.
My mom did this to me, and it opened up a discussion.
