I need a doctor to give me a long term sicknote, as i am fed up of working where i am.

I was involved in a car accident when i was a passenger a year and a half ago at work. The doctors then told me to keep hold of sicknote at time, as i may need it in future, if ever i had anything happen.

Should i just say my back is playing up? Would a doctor believe me?

i would say from the sound of things you are depressed and ask for a prescription of anti depressants the accident may have just come into realisation and affected you mentally your workload may not be helping this so be honest with your doctor and explain that your work is on top of you and ask for a sick note. hope you feel better soon

Sorry mate, yea probz the doc wud but that is so lazy, just get a sicknote, find another job and then ditch the old job. At least then you don't have to actually go back to work and u still get paid

Doctors will not be fooled and will not look at signing you off long term. Do something constructive and look for a new job . A doctor can get into very serious trouble helping you to manipulate the system . Why should they take the risk . Also consider that long term illness will go against you getting a job , a job that might be , and probably will be streets ahead of the one you have now
You probably don't like this Medicine but I think it is the Best for you .

The doctor isn't stupid!! If you are not sick he's gonna notice.

If your work is stressful - tell the doc that you are stressed.

If you are fit to work - then do so. And whilst youre doing that you can look for a more suitable job.

Sorry for ranting but i have to work bloody hard to keep my house, car etc and so many people get everything for nothing, sitting on their butts.

Infuriates me!!

OH MY GOSH, I cannot even believe this question. If you are sick of working where you are, FIND ANOTHER JOB. Why do you want to take the lazy way out? RIDICULOUS.

It's people like you who make it so difficult for people who REALLY need short or long term disability from work for REAL injuries to get what they need.

if you don't like your job then look for another one!!!!!!!!!!! Looking and applying for other posts will perk you up and might make your present job more bearable................ Its not really fair of you to expect us poor hard working tax payers to subside you when your not ill. I don't think you can fool your GP either so don't embarrass your self
