Something like this happened to me too. I had a desk that had recently been re-varnished with a darker stain than all the others. It was the only one like it in the whole class and it was chance that I happened to sit at it and make it 'mine'. One day I was off and the others sitting in my group swapped this desk for one of the normal coloured ones. When I got back I was so upset I had an asthma attack! Looking back I think that I was so upset because it made me feel special to have this unique desk but of course it really didn't matter because underneath they were all the same. You have to tell yourself the same thing - 'I have a chair and a desk that is all that matters' - don't let the other members of your class see you get upset over this or they'll keep doing it - just shrug your shoulders and get on with class!!

I'm really not sure what you are talking about except that you are a student and the other students swapped desks with you without you knowing about it.
My son would throw a fit, he is in fourth grade, but he likes rules and the same old, same old......If someone were to swap his desk, then he would throw a fit.....it isn't his desk, afterall....
I understand, but most likely since you can type this well, you are into high school or junior high, so throwing a fit will not work for you.......just let those other kids know that whatever desk you have is just fine. Don't give them the satisfaction of seeing you being mad or angry.
I hope you can see the humor of this situation later in life when you are courting that hot girl who is a model, while they are going to tech schools because they just have their HS diplomas......
Shrug it off and keep your focus on your grades.....

I'm a little confused. Are you worried that the kids are going to play a practical joke on you, hide your desk and replace it with an old broken one? Or are they going to vandalize the new one you have? Or are you feeling guilty because you have something nice and new and they are sitting in old and broken things? Can you clarify?

Be thankful that you are living in a country where you have education, let alone a desk and a chair to use while receiving that education. Some people in this world are not that lucky, and I find it slightly irritating that some people forget this.

In the great scheme of things it doesn't really matter which chair or table you have. The more you show that it bothers you the more likely they are to try and persecute you. Ignore it and hopefully they will stop bothering you when they realise you don't care.

well kids will be kids. you cant really predict what they are gonna do. there really isnt anything cruel about what they are planning. if they change it, just tell them you dont appreciate them doing this and i dont know punish the ones who do it by having them write an essay about being respectful of school property. and just move it back the way it was. just an idea...good luck

If you can't beat them, join them! Scribble on it yourself! Pick something you like, but they may not. Of course, avoid using your name or initials in the design!
Don't sweat the small stuff!
