Lofton's injury definitely hurt his chances. Nonetheless, the guy had an amazing season. He's at least a second teamer for certain, but he absolutely has first team skills. Maybe as a senior next year he'll make it and win the national POY award. I can't wait for the Vols to hit the court again so we can watch Lofton bury some more daggers (omg, nothing will ever top the one he put down in Durant's face down in Knoxville!)
I like your picks for first team, especially since you don't buy the Oden hype machine and slap him on their in the CBS-Obligatory fashion. I tend to dislike Hansbrough but can't deny how good he is.

afflalo is raw. you wont find a bigger vols basketball fan than me, but i think they got it right. lofton was very important to his team and i think he had more 30 point games than anybody besides durant, but he still didn't have that insane year we all know he is capable of (i think he will next year).
the first team was basically no surprises (which i dont like to see), but i think it was clearly right. you could maybe switch oden and hansborough i like that. i love lofton and he gets better every year, but i dont think i could argue that lofton was a better all around player than afflalo. Lofton is an excellent player, and can do WAY more than shoot (passes well, handles the ball well, underated defender and rebounder).....but he isnt that explosive all around beast like afflalo is. Even Reynolds for VA, did you see that madman? Guards like that who have size are just so much more versatile. And let's face it, Lofton doesn't have the ball handling skills that these guys have either. Sure he can create his own shot and he takes it to the basket well, but he isnt gonna cross people up all game and use his body to score too much. That Reynolds kid would have had 50 points on us if he didnt turn his ankle.
I like your all american team though, i was hoping it looked like that, but i think they got it right. Big Lofton will be back next year, and im hoping for a run at national player of the year baby!!!!

Go Lofton, the problem with Lofton is his height. I would root for him anytime, anyday, he is the best 3pts shooter out there. I don't care about Oden, but Afflalo is the man too. The guy is a great team player, a great dunker, and a super cool guy...
GO VOLS! GO BRUINS!

I can agree with the team you have.Only thing is, Lofton missed a number of games with injury, and if he didn't miss those, I think the first team selection was his.In fact, possibly National player of the year.
