The relationship is not linear but quite complex. It shows an lexponential function which has to be converted to a logarithmic form for easy manipulation in the form m = (logRa-logRb)/(log a-log b) where Ra and Rb = resistance at a and b lux values. m is the slope of the log R vs log lux graph.

It will be a non-linear (i.e. a curve) relationship between the two variables, normally a logarithmic scale is chosen for the graph (as to give a straight line.)

When the intensity of light is low, the resistance will be at it's greatest (i.e. when it is pitch black)

The resistance then lowers as the light intensity is increased.
