Why don't you look at your family's history and choose something meaningful, something 'passed on'? It's a great way to honor family members, deceased or living. My grandmother was thrilled when I chose my deceased great grandmothers name 'Anna' for my daughters middle name..
Also, think about naming your son Charles, then call him Charlie. Charlie is sweet for a little boy, but 'Charles Foord' sounds much more empowering for a grown up.
I like 'Charles Douglas Foord'.
