Huminist, if Rush Limbaugh says Clinton fired 93 prosecutors enough does it equal the 8 that Bush fired for political paybacks. If Shawn Hannity says bed wetting liberal enough is that going to be real. If faux news says we are cut and runners enough does that make us any less patriotic. In answer to your question over 3200 Americans have died, tens of thousands of Iraqi have died with no end in sight. So I say no, a puppet government of the U.S. is not a equal a democratically elected government, no matter how you slice it. It is still what it is. The Iraqi people will never accept a government set up by Bush and Blare and it will never be their own government and they will have to decide for themselves, how they wish to be governed and by who. This will never be settled militarily it will have to come through talks and negotiation.

Democracy simply requires majority rule, not the unanimous consent of the people. If Sunnis don't like their government, and they are in the minority, that doesn't invalidate the democratic character of their government any more than disgruntled Republicans invalidate the democratic character of our legislature.
