I was just wondering cause my boyfriend is one and he keeps telling me that "people" put them down or talk about them in a bad way.
the only thing i have heard someone say is that they were lazy. the man who said this was a senator or something idk what ever became of him.
So i was just wondering what your honest opinon would be.
or any thoughts what-so-ever.

I kind of hate his job because it takes him away from us weeks at a time.
but if he loves it then ill be there by his side whatever he chooses.
Im not trying to put them down in anyway either.

They are heroes too....Just like a regular firefighter....
They dont just save forests....they also help out the wild life that make the forests homes....not too mention....saving the homes the fires might threaten...
My Ex Husband did this for a Summer.....& I think I was more proud of him doing this...then I was with him being a regular firefighter....even though I was proud of him for that as well....
Either way...they put their lives in danger to save someone who is a stranger to them....or even who are their friends & family...
They are all heroes to me....

Been there...done that, for one summer....and believe me, there is no time or opportunity for laziness when a forest fire is raging towards you! It is an adrenaline rush to say the least !!

I would say they have to have a certain amount of courage, like any other firefighter.

I've only heard good things about them
I lived in Oregon for a while, and we thought they were sexy, desirable, and had a high risk job that was greatly appreciated. we applauded them.
makes me wonder where he is.
