Check your video cable. It contains small metal "pins" in the ends which are very fine; normally, they are protected by the metal plug structure, but once in a while, they bend when a user tries to plug in the cable, preventing data from being transmitted properly.

You did not tell your monitor is CRT or LCD. CRT monitor is like TV includes three electron guns for RED, GREEN, BLUE colour respectively. Your problem is look like the fault in red colour driving circuit. Moving of monitor may cause this.
That is you cannot DIY repairing . Send to service centre if no improvement made after checking the connector pins and cable, slowly hitting the top and side of monitor by hand.
Checking with other PC system may help you also.

Sometimes moving a CRT monitor can produce strange colours due to magnetic fields, like moving too close to a large loudspeaker - if so move away from it. You might also try the CRT Degauss facility (button or menu item).

Could also be caused by a bad connection or disturbed graphics card. Again, if a CRT, give it a few good smacks - there might be an internal bad connection.

If it has a separate graphics card in there, chances are you have disturbed it unhooking the cable,, and re attaching it, now depending on how confident you are looking inside the tower, and re seating the graphics card is up to you, but that is where I would look first. Remember to switch it off at the wall plug and remove the cable from the back of the tower before you do anything.
