Open your hood and look at your valve cover.

If it has 4 valves per cylinder it's DOHC. There should be a plate that says that on the engine. Either way make sure the timing belt is in good condition.

from 90 to 93 2.0 galants they have dohc

if you open the hood you should have a sticker on the hood that tells you what you have. or your valve cover may have sohc (single over head cam) stamped on it or dohc (dual over head cam)

if it sez TWIN CAM 16V or DOHC 16V its a double overhead cam engine..for mitsubishi they use the word DOHC 16VALVE or DOHC 2000 (dohc engine is alot bigger)
