Since the world is getting smaller (travel wise) I would say that in the not too distant future, this may become a reality. If I am not mistaken, London was host to a preseason game several years ago and it was a big success. I think that since England had teams in NFL Europe and the WFL before that, a lot of British people already have a good understanding of the game. The stadiums are also in place there, since a soccer pitch and American football field are pretty much the same. Possible names for the franchise could be the London Monarchs (probably wouldn't go over well with the Royal family though), London Knights (my favorite), or even the London Wizards. As always though, it will all boil down to money. Who puts it up and guarantees and such. Something to dream about any way!

Well great but that means that a flight time between L.A. and London would be 12 hours. See where that problem comes in. What no West Coast teams will ever have to play this "new franchise" if we put it in London. What about London playing on the West Coast? See where the logistics DO kick in over a whole season? Also don't forget the time zone issue. So I don't really think they should get a team. Nothing against them, but I think there are better places to put a team first. Now for starters I am against expansion. 32 teams is MORE then enough. Even if we need more then 32 there are better cities outside the U.S. to put them in first. Those other cities would include Mexico City or if Canada was willing to try NFL then Toronto.

No. First, most Brits don't inderstand the game and don't care about the game. Second, If the flight time is 6 hours from New York to London, then it is 12 hours from L.A to London. Any team west of the Mississippi would be at a huge disadvantage antime they traveled to London. London would also have a huge disadvantage when traveling to those teams.

Umm, the NATIONAL Football League is a NATIONAL league. I didn't know that England joined our nation. When did that happen? Oh my !

England is free to join the NFL Europe league (also known as World League of American Football, but changed it's name to NFL Europe). Oh wait !! They already have and then quit! The London Monarchs. There was also the Scottish Claymores.

We don't need another country in our NATIONAL league.

I don't think you'd have much luck trying to get interest in it. London has many (English) football teams, then there's rugby...which is american football without the armour thing going on.
