I don´t think that "age gaps" exist, after all we are as old as we feel. Some young people are very mature and others who are older immature, so really what´s important is that they feel good together. Just because someone is the same age as the other does´t mean that things are going to work out for them. If it doesn´t work out for people who have an age gap, you´ll hear people say that it was because of the difference in age...that´s what gives these relationships such bad publicity

Do you plan on taking this old guy to the prom??---how cute. You must either lack a father figure or he is always on the look out for young bodies to jump on. Both sides show a sick nature that neither will admit to. Just what does a 17 year old talk to a 37 year old about?? Or a 37 year old talking like a teen ager---how silly!!Well at least you can dial 911 real fast when the heart gives out---be careful he doesn't go for your sister in a year or two. Sorry for being crude about this--but I was asked and I am telling exactly what I feel---and you know that this is wrong or you wouldn't ask such a thing.

Main points I can see is as you get older being into different stuff and you going off to uni and wanting to travel and him being stable.

Also many assume the older guy will have all this experience and only be into one thing.

The reality is many grew up shy and never got past begineer level which is what you are so looking for another begineer only that means they have to be a lot younger.

And that maybe all his freinds are all into families and being stiffs and he still wants to party and have mates and have a young life.

So not a perve at all... Or may be using you... Only you can work that out

Either way what matters is if you are both happy and if not suited will phissle out on your own

Yes. The 17 year old is still a child and the 37 year old comes off taking advantage of that. If it's love then it can wait until the minor is mature enough, out of school and knows what's what.

Yeah, 20 of them... Why arent yall in jail???? Isnt that statutory rape??? Find someone that respects you and aint a pervert seeing as he might be older than your own father... Theres a thing called self respect and decent morales... At 17 you should be worried about friends and schooling to make a good life for yourself and a man who truly respects you as a person, one that you can actually share a real life with... Good luck...

Yes. The 17 year old will grow to regret it. The 37 year old is taking advantage of the situation until the younger one realises.

skyla,

I don't know which country you are writing from, but in the U.S., it's called statutory rape...I do assume by 'relationship,' that sex is involved.

EDITED LATER:

As long as there are no laws being broken, and both parties are happy, I do not see anything wrong with the arrangement.

there is several big things maturity being one, older people tend to be more laid back and this will cause problems of going out, you will be doing new things while the other has been there and done that
