Eggs are released from alternate ovary each month and so your chances are automatically reduced to half as you only release eggs every two months rather than every month. Other factors will include lifestyle choices, its best to go to a doctor

I'm not sure of the details of your situation- do you still have your ovary, and you just have a bad tube? If that's the case, then it may take twice as long. Usually, the ovaries take turns. So, for example:
January= right ovary releases egg
Feb = left ovary releases egg
March = right ovary release egg
Apr = left ovary releases egg
....and so on.

So, if only one of your tubes works, then your egg will reach the uterus every other month, and those are the months that you can possibly become pregnant.

Hope this helps.

I lost one of my ovaries due to a large cyst which was discovered during my first pregnancy (it was removed during a c-section as it was blocking the birth channel). I got pregnant again without really trying (the second time) with only one ovary, so it can happen, if you're worried. I'd advise that you see your GP for more advice. Best of luck.

If you only have one ovary then this one will ovulate each month, you dont get alternate periods. If you are not planning to have children i would use some birth control as it is not as hard to concieve as some people may think. hope all goes well...
