Why would anyone even NEED hundreds of thousands of pounds a week for kicking a bit of plastic? It drvies me absolutely crazy. There are far more rewarding people in society who deserves the money (not just public sector workers but people who live in terrible housing conditions etc).

Only the Footballers who are getting it
The Clubs should never had got to this Big Money Stage
Once upon a Time Footballers used to join a Club because they wanted to Play Football for them.
Now they just join a Club for the Biggest Wage Packet

Yes it is sick, but who should get all the money from ticket sales, supporter gear sales, etc... If all the money went to the owners of the clubs it would even be worse, rather let the players get some of the money(it is only a small %)....

It is sick!!
A bunch of over grown school boys playing kick about getting paid millions, when there are so many starving people in the world. Anyone who watches or supports these teams should hang their heads in shame, If it were not for the moronic supporters these footballers would be nonentities!

I absolutely love watching football! However I agree. Nobody is worth that much money.

i say fetch back the old football clubs where players wanted to play for their local club for the love of football and the love of town not just for the money

If I went out with or was married to a footballer I would easily be able to justify it.......unfortunatly I'm not though....

People in Movies get paid much more....and there are more soccer / football fans than "die hard" cinema fans
*winK* Should be justifiable in that case...
and another reason...only the top can paid that much, many get paid peanuts......
as for we guys, we just like Sports ! :)

No one can. You get a group of under developed grown men kicking a piece of leather around a field and they get paid hundreds of thousands for it. Its crazy

It is just business. If people are willing to pay to watch them then there is a market there.
Im sure if people paid to watch you at work you would get a wage rise.
