just tell them you want it out because you want a baby or you are thinking about going on a different contraception then they will not ask to much i had mine removed with hardly any questions asked because i told them the reason they just gave me loads of leaflets an asked only minimal questions like when i had my last period .

The coil, or intra-uterine device (IUD), works predominantly by stopping a fertilised egg from implanting in the lining of the womb. This prevents a pregnancy from occurring.
As soon as the coil is not there, there is no barrier to you getting pregnant, so you could get pregnant very quickly if everything worked right that month!
Removing the coil is a simple procedure of just pulling on the threads that are visible at the cervix (neck of the womb). For this reason, I wouldn't suggest having your coil removed until you are ready for your second pregnancy.

lol, yea. my best m8 went to get hers out 2day n she sat there for an hour with the doc asking if she was sure she wanted it out etc.
she's got all super broody since i took her shopping with me n got a pink baby grow smothered in "i love mummy". she wanted a girl 1st time round but had a boy, n her bf came home last week saying he wanted another baby. ahhhhhhhhhh, bless....guess i'd best b keeping loads of my baby stuff 4 her!

i don't know for sure, but I would say it would be resposible for a doctor to ask questions like these, considering what a big decision it is to have a baby in the first place...

When i had mine out all they asked was why i was having it out, they didn't try to influence my decision in any way.
