She basically said there were shortages and she couldnt trust me.The thing is I never would dare steal. So Im furious, sad and scared all at the same time.Thats not the only reason my boss had been piling work on me and we were short handed all week so I was way behind on my paperwork so that has alot to do with it Im sure. The thing is the police told me my boss sells crack so I kind of think she took it.I even have a freind who claims my boss broke into her house and robbed her for drug money two years ago. I dont know what to do .Im scared because in a months time my section came up 80 $ short twice and she had access. So why Im I being fired and treated like a theif? what if the big boss decides to press charges? I have a clean record

Sounds like a scary situation. Unless your friends can prove it was her that broke into their house and there is a police record then I doubt you have an avenue to use that as leverage. If the police really did tell you they believe she is selling or using drugs then I'm sure they will look into her as a suspect before pressing charges against you especially since there doesn't seem to be any proof of her allegations. It is also not a large sum of money in the scheme of things. If you are concerned about your reputation I would make an appointment with your boss's boss. or at least write a letter explaining you regret that you were let go, you understand you did have work piled up due to being shorthanded and perhaps you should have allocated your time better. BUT you want it to be clear that you have and never will have been involved in any illegal activity. You are concerned about your reputation and the allegations of being untrustworthy. That said don't make any allegations you can't back up against her, your friends word is not going to help you manage the situation. If the police are willing to back up what they said to you about her, then you can provide the big boss with that police officers contact information, other than that you need to stick to the facts.

I wish you all the best. While I believe you should report her to her supervisor, or even higher if that doesn't get you anywhere. I would NOT tape her in drug activity to do so may cost you much more than your job, this is dangerous and should be left to the police. If she is dealing or using you do not know what she might do if she caught you taping her in illegal activity. Be smart and stay safe!

Wow, she sounds like the worst boss EVER! That's so unfair that she is blaming you for this. Well, it sounds like she's quite dangerous actually? If you are worried she might press charges, unless she has proof (which she won't if you didn't do it), then she won't get very far, so don't worry, especially if you have no record. The only thing is, that I don't know where you live but if it's a small place and word gets around, then people are very quick to judge you. You really need to clear your name, this is very unfair. I don't know what your local rights are, but perhaps you can claim unfair dismissal and try and set the record straight? But if she really is a crack-dealer and a burglar, then maybe a tip-off to the Police as well....and your friend who claims your boss broke into her house, could she not report her?? I wish you luck, but at least you are leaving that job, sounds like a nightmare!! She will get her come-uppance, people like that always do........

do not flat out lie, and in all risk do not tell the reality the two, yet whilst this would nicely be a habit which you're actually unable to break, you would be able to desire to be fired returned for being late. confirm you have sturdy references, because of the fact in assessment to what the previous poster reported, specific, references are called. if your former direct boss can not provide you a favorable reference, do you a minimum of have a former co-worker who can vouch for you? If pressed as to why you have been "enable pass" (not fired, this is too detrimental), say it grew to become right into a distinction of opinion or a character conflict. by no skill undesirable mouth your former boss in an interview, for the reason that individual is purely going to anticipate the worst of you.

Don't be scared. She and you were the only person who have access in your money vault, therefore both of you were the only person capable of taking the money. I knew you were not the one. Try and take all the possible evidence that you can get about her alleged personality, as you have said, she was been engaged in some illegal 'crack'. If the big boss decided to hunt down the villain, you should be able to tell him all about it and divert the blames to her. But try to build up your defense as soon as possible.

Report what you know to a superior over your boss...let the person know exactly what you have said here and...if this doesnt work get a camera and try to record your bosses drug exchanges.
