I had planned on abstaining on the senatorial vote. Watching all these guys (both admin and opposition) in the past few years - - well, none has been that impressive or believable enough. Maybe Escudero and Joker Arroyo.
But definitely NOT Tito Sotto, Tessie Oreta, Chavit Singson, Loren Legarda, Alan Peter Cayetano. Others are not even worth mentioning.
I will also not vote for any candidate who already has a relative in a position of power or authority. For a country whose culture values things such as "delicadeza" and "hiya", it is disappointing that both the admin and the opposition continue to condone the practice of nepotism in our political hierarchy.
