Depends on what/where. Smoothness is the best way for certain things: sack,hole But on other areas it looks better w/ hair. and also type of guy. if their bigger(fat) i dont want to see them smooth....ewww. bigger muscular smooth twinks smooth.
personally trimmed is the way to go, short and neat.

Trimmed is good, forests are unattractive to my eyes, but completely shaven is a bit to prepubescent for my taste!
