It is the 1967 and 1968 models that are very similar. A quick way to tell the difference is that the 1968 model, as well as every other American car of that year, has side marker lights.

ok, well what i have noticed about those camaros is that the back lights on the 67 and 68 camaros are the same, its a rectangle 1/2 red and 1/2 white, the difference between those two is that some have the little air intake holes on the hood. the 69 camaros are personally, my favorite. the backlights on the 69's is 3 pieces. two red pieces in the outer side and a white piece in the middle. the grille on the camaro also changes, it seems as it is to sink into the car with the lights somewhat popped out, while the 67 n 68 camaros grilles are places in the same place as the front lights. so hopefully i was able to help you out, keep it cool

In the first place you cannot put a shift kit in and drive a car " delicately' but besides that a stock used treansmdission is not the time to put in a shift kit. You waste money. Ita best to wait and rebuild the tranny with all the correct new parts that will enhance the shift kit and beef up the transmission so it performs the way you want. That transmission is only as good as the builder, so find someone you trust and talk with them about what you want the transmission to do. That is not the best engine for horsepower and torque. So forget all that measured time yap yap yap its not going to happen unless you stuff a v8 under the hood. Thanks for the warning start saving your moneyl. drive it like it is now and down the road save the money and do it right

The 1969 has a different front end than the 1967-68's and the 1969's front end seems to stick out more than the 1967-68's.

grills, louvers, tail lights. However, there are so many pieced togather camaros running around, not to mention clones, this isn't even a fool proof way to tell.

'67 and '68 both have rounded wheel wells, '69 has squared off wheel wells and fake louvers in the quarter panel directly in font of the rear wheel wells. The easiest way to tell a '67 from a '68 is that the '67 had vent windows, '68 had one piece front windows with no vent.

Well that would take a novel to write, BUT you can read it at the URL. Have fun.
