No, it is not necessary if you don't want it....your career can be fulfilling if that is what you want. You don't need someone else to make you whole, its nice if you find it, but not crucial.

Although many females do find happiness in their roles as wives and mothers, I don't think either is completely necessary for personal fulfillment. Many women are content with their careers, and make a good, independent living. Being single or childless doesn't stop a person from living a well rounded, integrated life unless they let it. Goodness knows there are countless ways to "mother" a child in this society, by tutoring, through an agency like Big Brothers/Big Sisters, or through a youth department at a local church, for example. Single adoption is another option today. I love being both, but personal fulfillment comes from within[for me, with a relationship with Jesus Christ] not without, even though marriage and children are a blessing.

That is a question every woman has to answer for herself. Some would feel perfectly fulfilled without being a mother and/or wife, some would feel that there was something missing from their lives. It's an individual choice.

I am a mother and a wife, and I dont think so.

I dont believe you can understand what love for a child is until you have one of your own. Its this overwhelming feeling, and unconditional love that is so different from being in love with your spouse.

But, it didntm ake me feel fulfilled as a woman. I think being happy with yourself, and confident and being able to set your mind on what you want out of life makes you a fulfilled woman. Whether it be marriage, kids, travelling, education, or a career.

Of course not! It depends on what you feel you need to accomplish in order to be "fulfilled." For many women that is becoming a wife and mother. For others it's having a successful or challenging career or owning their own home and being able to support themselves.
