I'd say that if you are a woman and worked all day and came home ,you'd want to take off your shoes and relax. So it would not matter if you were American or Canadian.

I would think American women, I know I rarely have shoes on at home, and I have even forgot to put shoes on when going some where, I am American.
However, I just remembered a Canadian friend I know who always takes her shoes off at the door, and insists anyone who visits her to do the same. Though she lives here in America now, she is still legally a Canadian. I give up....... Who?
