I'm working in Japan, but I want to send some money back to the U.S.
Should I have my Japanese bank transfer the money, use Lloyd's online service, exchange it in the U.S on my next visit, etc.?
Where would I get the best exchange rate?

The best and cheapest way is to create a bank account at a major Japanese bank. Get a bank card and sent it along with the PIN to whomever you want to get the money. Once they receive the card deposit the money.

You get the best rates, it is 100% secure, and no charges!

you can have the best exchange rate through banks . get a traveller's check and exchange it . or better yet if you know somebody who uses yen but has dollars then exchange with that person . that's what i did before . my friend was moving back to the states and she got her return rent which was about $2000 in yen so i exchanged my dollars to her yen in the current yen rate since I pay rent in yen

call this number to know yen to dollar exchange rate 0468243313 Bank of Yokohama . you'll hear their current exchange rate US trav check to yen , yen to dollar, cash $ to yen and so on .......
