Hover your mouse pointer over the two mini computers on the bottom right of your task bar (bottom of computer screen task bar is blue) this will tell you the speed, volume you are sending and receiving.

You could ask you ISP or if you want to do it yourself, go to www.internetfrog.com. It tells you your IP and there is a link to "Test the speed of your connection". Link given below.
