To have it removed?
That would be the same place you got it inserted, usually the doctors surgery but I think family planning clinics would be able to as well.

I think either will do it but would be probably easier to go to the family planning clinic.
Just as an extra note, they say you shouldnt have sex for 7 days (unprotected, ie use a condom) before you plan to have it removed as once it is removed, you could get pregant if there is any sperm kicking about inside you!

Family Clinic will be more willing to do it and straight away as opposed to the doctor who will probably tell you to make an appointment with the nurse the week after.

If your gynecologist was the one that inserted it then you would go back to them for removal. If it was the family planning clinic then you would go back to them for the removal of the coil.

I'd say go to the dr, thats where i went to have mine done, they made me an appt within a few days and i felt more at ease with my dr as i'd seen her many times before so relaxed more.
