For your example the value of X is 2.
X may represent any unknown. In Theoretical Physics it is the HELIX. It is the mirror of the dimension. The image of the eye sees and the convex lens reverses the dimension in the North/South orientation. The brain makes the adjustment back to reality. The power of X is equal to and not greater than N&S or the Negative & Positive of all that is matter. X is the energy that has no mass, yet it is nothing. The concept of zero is alike, having no mass. Place a ring verticle. In one direction it is a circle. Turn it 90 degrees and it is a bar (negative). Like saying yes and no or open and close. Negative & Positive, yet it is the same. Computers read this open closed, left / right, 90 degree phenomina and memory exists. Your mind distinguishes between one view and the other much the same as the eye sees.
What then is the value of X. It is greater than the sum of all knowledge. Yet, still it is nothing. Nothing until you give it a value. I may talk in circles that is why Pi is equal to infinity.
If you comprehend than you have the potenial to exceed the power of X. An imaginary number, perhaps?

x - 2 = 0
x = 2

'value' means the number which 'x' stands for (equals to). The value of x, put in the place of x and simplified with the equation makes both sides of the equation equal.

Here the value of x is 2. Put that back in the original question to check if both sides are equal. (The numbers on either side of the = sign should be the same)

x - 2 = 0
2 - 2 = 0
0 = 0

a value is that which simplifies the equation that is
L.H.S=R.H.S
in ur equation

using basic algebra add 2 on both sides of the equation to give you:
x=2

(wow, thanks for the two points, that was everso difficult)
