Ours is a country were lives millions in below poverty line. For one time's food millions beg in this country. And some others also in large nos don't have a single room or a piece of land as their own. Yet in this country, the goverment itself provides the sportspersons especially cricketers with expensive gifts including huge buildings or means to build them simply because they set top score in a certain match or became the man of the match or series. What is the justification? Is it right?

Wrong... Governemnt rarely gifted the cricket players. It's just not in their policies. It didn't even waive of import duty for Sachin Tendulkar when he wanted to get a Ferrari.

However, few politicians and few industrialist do gift these crticketers with huge amounts and costly gifts. And that's out of theior own party or organization expenses. Nothing to do with Government.

All the best...

:-)

In Minnesota it's baseball, football and the Mall of America. It makes no sense to me to throw hundreds of thousands of dollars to the wealthy. If these new arenas and malls are such a good investment, let THEM pay for it....they have the money and will keep the profits. We built the Metrodome because they didn't want to play outside and now they want a different one so they can play outside again!?!? The MOA has become the highest crime area in Bloomington....and it has yet to pay any property taxes. There are better ways to use the exorbitant taxes they collect here.

No. Govt.has no right to pamper cricket players over the poor and destitute of this country. It is blasphemy and a moral crime.

Surely they must have a reason for this, but it doesn't sound very fair. I would encourage all young people in your country to become either politicians (if they can afford a good school) or sportspeople (if they can't afford schooling).
