Everybody is different. Yes, It is certainly true that "some" males will perform their job a lot better if they sleep in their bed alone than if they have a partner, regardless of whether sex is practised. The article does not however investigate how the work performance of the male is affected if he is compelled to be in a bed alone away from his loved one for prolonged periods, such as a guy in the merchant navy, who may be away from his wife for several months at a time doing his job. There is evidence some do their job better because they are closer to workplace and do not have stress of travel to work and family squabbles. But it is also very apparent that a high a proportion of a typical seaman's time in bed might be deployed on sex (i.e. solo sex producing seaman's semen on the bed linen). So having his sex in bed prior to getting up for work is not really the issue?

Germanic peoples are not known for their emotional strength. I have spent the last 30 years sleeping with my wife in the same bed as she. A couple of weeks ago, she went away for a fortnight and I just couldn't get to sleep on my own. But then I'm not an Austrian, I'm an Australian, and I like my cuddles. :-)

Well if it is true I would rather have my mental capacity reduced by sharing my bed with someone I love, than be miserable and alone and probably end up going nutty through loneliness.

Well yes, because their brains are between their legs. When they share a bed with a partner man or woman, they're more than likely to lose their juices.
