Im looking into starting an online art business. The main goal would be to find hobbiest artist who are looking to make extra cash at first and give the business a % of the profits(or other terms may be made) & possibly join the team as permanent art supplier. What would be the best way for me to find these artists/ suppliers??

Hey Kearstin,

Check the online sites for artists posting their wares. You might convince them to send you items that they have listed on some sites. If they sell first, you ship it for them at cost or some other arrangement that is to your liking, and agreeable to them.

Go to your local universities' art departments and put up posters advertising your interest. You can screen artists from there. Hopefully you might get someone really good before they get famous! You could help these fledgeling artists kick-start their careers.
