handmade bday gift ideas anyone?
i'd like to make something special for my best girlfriend's bdae this year...you know like something handmade and thoughtful instead of buying the usual stuff...
so, give some suggestions pls...=) thnkx

Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.

Something I think is an ok idea if you have lots of photos of the two of you and your other friends if to buy a nice large photo frame and make a big collage of photos. It's a lovely keepsake in my opinion. Maybe if you like you can make a border around the edge of all the photos and put quotes or a little message from you in the border.
That's just my idea. Hope you like it. :)

I don't think there is anything more special, than a handmade gift, so whatever you choose will be right. A quilt is a beautiful gift, as well as practical.

My best friend gave me a cool gift that she made.
She bought a tall candle in a glass. Then she covered the outer glass (decoupaged it) with things that we like to do together.
She spelled out the word F R I E N D S in Scrabble letters -since we like to play it; she put pictures and ticket stubs on it that were meaningful to us.
She gave it to me 5 years ago. I will NEVER burn this candle. I love it!

how about a hat box sprayed white then take all sorts of pictures of you and your friends and her family what ever you have that pertains to her and photocopy them in black and white glue them to the hat box and modge podge ove the top a fet times. I got this one year many years ago and I stilluse it. You could then put in a gift inside..........what ever you like and she will have the hat box for what ever she needs to store.
Also make her a scrapbook, jsut a small sized one, of her, you and other friends. She would have that forever!

Buy her a movie ticket which she was recently talking about. If she is gonna love watching it with any of her family members buy that many tickets in order to make the evening a wonderful one.

since she is your best girlfriend.......make a collage of your life together with tons of pictures. Make a scrapbook. Or make a coupon book with ten coupons of things you can do for her. ex: clean out her garage OR take her out for girls night/spa party OR whatever else she may physically need you for support.

i think what is worthwhile gift for her is to give photo in oil paint cos photos r faded in years and painting is like souvenir and they preserve past and also your memories so she will be amazed to see her photo in painting cos in todays digital world this thing will surprized her

try out one of those personal soaps. it shouldn't cost you too much. you can put a romantic message on there and she can be reminded of you everytime she use it. the soap last for a while as well. if not, name a star after her. that will melt her heart!

This is one of my favorites and it hasn't failed me yet.
Home Made Bath Fizzies! You can put them in a little bag or jar and put a ribbon on it and you don't even have to wrap it!
