any tips on how to reduce the friction? No problem sliding on thicker strings but the thin ones are a pain to slide, esp the high e. I used fast fret but that stuff is crap.

That's only a problem if your strings are old, or if your fretboard/frets are in bad shape. Do your frets have heavy wear? Do you oil your fretboard? Is your fretboard old, cracked, and dry? Products like fast fret serve a purpose, but from one guitarist to another, if your strings aren't old and your fret and fretboard are in good shape, then you just need to get over it. Friction is hardly a problem at all; deal with it. Cheers man.
