It doesn't teach anything valuable about roman culture during the Empire's time, its only focus on murders and sex. Sometimes, I have the feeling I am watching a porn movie than a TV show. The only thing i like to see on that show is their makeup and clothes. It seems the shows has the intention to devalued the history of Romans. American TV and HBO in particular are so into delivering a bad image of Italian people in general. I don't know why they never made a TV show, like that, about the 12 tribes in the desert. How women used to drunk their own fathers and have sex to continue their race for example, this would be a great episode about those 12 tribes, from where Hebrew people are so proud to come from.

HBO midway via season 2 stated that there may well be a season 3. So places like Amazon, Netflix, etc further it to there upcoming record. in direction of the top of season 2 HBO started cleansing out all of the severe dollar shows like Deadwood and Rome becasue they value plenty to offer. Amazon took it down Netflix in no way did. there is meant to be a Rome and a Deadwood wrap up action picture yet its no longer even in production precise now so no person is familiar with if or while it is going to likely be released.

Don't have a negative opinion, other than the show is too short(2 seasons). Lol, this is the only historical soap opera I've ever liked.

I think for a show that attempts to portray such a historic milestone civilization they don't show them much respect, considering that they live in rome, italy and they don't speak italian, and they speak like they live in england.

Well, the opening credit sequence is annoying, other than that, great show.
