What would you do if you`re faced with such a situation?
You got back your test results and found out that you got an extra 10 marks..It determines between a fail and a pass for you..Unfortunately,you best friend saw it and immediately threatened to tell the teacher and said she can`t keep a secret...In a fit of anger, you refused to tell the teacher, left and ignored her...

2 things she might do:
1)tattletail and inform the teacher
2)tell everyone that you are a dishonest person ,spoill ur reputation and end the friendship..

Would you just tell the teacher, save her from tattletailing and spoiling ur reputation?or would you just let it be,pretend nothing has happened and see what she`ll do to you?

yes,she scored lower than me..this is not the first time she did this to me...that happened 2 yrs ago...under a different situation...i think she is constantly competing with me...she`ll tell me she is waiting for some other friends to finish school when she is actually waiting for the teacher to go for consultation...she tries to hide it from me but somehow i heard her asking the teacher when she thought i wasn`t listening...and she always tells me she did not study for her tests when she does...it is rather obvious...she said she did not study and she can actually answer stuff that needs alot of memory work..

i would love to get away from her but the problem is that we are in the same class and i ahve to see her everyday...we have been friends for about 6 years and tend to stick together...sometimes she will just ignore me for no apparent reason which makes me very pissed off but i usually pretend that i`m not aware that she`s ignoring me and try to act as normally as possible..she is a good friend as she is an efficent person and can be countd upon to do things...but she is very selfish and kiasu(always want to win) and very "morally upright"...

i`ve told my teacher about it and she thanked me for informing her about it...i`m planning to not tell my friend about it and see if she would really tattletail or go around telling ppl about what i had done...i understand that what i did was wrong but who wouldn`t want to pass....and i was given extra marks...

seriously,i wouldn`t tell rhe teacher if she did not see the mistake...i admit i was stupid to let her have a chance to steal a glance at my paper...next time will will definately protect my test papers with my life so no one sees it..

well, clearly this incident has affected our friendship...she ignored me today while i tried to make short conversations with her so as to make things less awkward..i`m really not sure if i have the perserverance and energy to salvage this frienship..and whether if it is worth it...she is constantly making me wreak my mind..and keeping me guessing on what is on her mind...i never had a friend like her till now that makes me so upset..what should i do?

i`m afraid of giving in to her...i do not want to sound like she`s my only friend etc..that sounds too desperate...=(...She might then think that she is very important and start to make use of me again..i try to do my part as a friend by being there for her and helping out in small ways..but she just give my problems time and again...i have to put up with her mood swings...it is not nice to be ignored by someone for nothing..i try to pretend that i don`t know that she is ignoring me and try to strike a conversation with her..i am a person who likes to be neutral and makes effort to ensure i`m on good terms with everyone.6 years of friendship and such a thing can happen..i`m extremely disappointed..i suspect her mum told her to keep away from me or something like that cos she always...always listen to her mum...one thing which i cannot stand...i`m okay if her mum is practical and openminded...but her mum is like a typical 'AUNTIE'..who gives stupid advices.

in all,i`m tired of being the one that is always trying to salvage our friendship...i guess i`ll let it go..just remain as classmates till the end of the year...

Just take it to your teacher- maybe he/she will cut you some slack for being honest. Then stop talking to your friend, b/c what kinda friend rats you out like that? A bad one, thats what. Tell her to bug off.

It sounds like your friend is a little jealous to react like that! Especially a best friend. Did she score lower than you on the test?

The morally correct thing to do would be to let your teacher know. This is not easy. you don't want to lose those extra 10 points I am sure. But it could be that the teacher credits you with those for your honesty. The thing is you never know how things will work out.

I'm worried about your friend though. She doesn't sound very loyal. Her reaction is extreme!

Edited to Add - Good on you for telling the teacher! That must not have been easy. You did a really great thing.

First of all if you worry that she will tattletailing and spoiling your reputation shown that you yourself know very well it's wrong if you didn't inform your teacher. So, if you choose to pretend nothing has happened, thought you may get a pass, but this thing will haunt you for quite a while. You won't be happy with the pass either.

Regardless of what she going to do, just let your teacher know.

The truth will set you free. It may hurt a little, but sounds like your in pain already. Maybe the teacher will help you for your honesty. Hard choice.

hmm...she's obviously jealous of you...
and competing with your results..
i feel she can't be trusted..

you've done your part by trying to talk to her and stuff while she's ignoring you..
i would not even call her a friend anymore..

but seems you're really keen to salvage this friendship..
have you tried to talk to her about why is she treating you this way?
try to get her to speak her mind..
tell her that she's the only friend you have and you don't wanna lose her..you want things to get better between the both of you..and pls don't treat you this way..you really treasure this friendship..
something like that..

hope i helped!
gOod luck :)

Just tell the teacher by yourself. The teacher may appreciate your honesty and pass you.

i think the best thing is to tell your teacher and be careful about your friend. she looks like a dishonest and a jealous person.
