There was 1.5 sec left, why didnt the inbounder just throw it in the air and time would've run out. Is that allowed?

clock does not start until ball is touched by a player that is inbounds

Because the ball has to touch the floor or somebody before the time starts running.

No. The time doesn't start until it gets touched. Besides they were pretty sure the game was over by then so they weren't that careful. They were up by three and the possession was with them with only 1.5 seconds to go

the ball must be touched by any player on the court!so the answer is no!
