Obviously he needs new shoes - it sounds as if the others are pinching. Their feet do grow fast you know. By the time you've tied the last pair, you probably need to go for the next size already so maybe look for those with velcro fasteners & then at least he'll be able to run around in them for a while before he needs to change them.

Had exactly the same problem with mine .I put a little vaseline on each which seems to have helped , I am knitting him some little booties at the moment .

I'm not surprised after i caught him with my pet centipede..and telling me she's got a nice pair of legs,pair of legs,pair of legs,pair of legs....he left without his boots,shoes,slippers.clogs...... yuppie...
