Omg you cannot bleed to death if you pierce your bellly button,it's just lots of skin tied together from when you were a baby!If you pierce your stomach ,yes, you can bleed a lot but this has nothing to do with the belly button piercing!

Honestly....don't lie to the person asking an innocent question.
No you can not bleed to death from getting your belly button pierced. That is unless they use a knife and cut into your stomach.
What you need to do is make sure you go to a reputable piercer (a licensed CLEAN tattoo parlor is best) who uses new needles each time , make sure you listen to them on how to care for it and not to irritate it. If you follow their directions you can prevent an infection which is about the worst that can happen from a belly button piercing.

No, all the belly button is, is a scar left over from the umbilical cord, so there are no major viens or arteries going in or out of it.

Yes, you can.
You can also get a major infection in vital veins and arteries and die due to infection.
A friend of mine was hospitalized for having her belly button pierced. It got severely infected and she was very sick. She couldn't eat because she'd constantly throw it up. It bled uncontrollably and it wept puss and other ooze.
I'd never get my belly button pierced. Ever.

yes this is true, there are major organs located right in that area. there is only like one place you can do it higher or lower would puncture an artery. dont do this yourself, its not like you would know if you were bleeding internally.

no you can't, not unless you went into your stomach instead of in the skin and out the other part of the skin.
