Every time i put my contact lens in i feel like there is something caught between my eye and the contact, it takes me tons of solution to get it right, and when i clean it with solution and then try to put it in, it doesnt stick to my eye (cos its too wet) and it turns inside out,,, no matter how much i wash my contact lenses i have to take em out and put em in a million times until its completely free of little bits of things that get stuk betwwen the contact and my eye...it takes forever and my eyes always get red at the end of it...am i alone on this one?
btw my contatc are 8 hour ones.

Overwetting the lenses wont help! Wash yur hands thouroghly and wipe them with a towel. Take yur lens, clean it with few drops of solution, drain all the solution, place the lens on yur forefinger, with yur other hand open yur eyes as wide as you can and place yur lens very gently right on top of the eyeball! This works for me, just make sure you wear yur lenses b4 applyin eye make as while puttin the lenses they might get rubbed againt yur lashes and catch some bits.. Practice, practice, practice.. but just be patient, you will get the hang of it!!

Try getting a different type of contact lense. I use the 2 week kind and they hardly ever give me problems.
When they do, they are usually inside out or have a tear.
Yours could just have a tear in them or some kind of dust or dirt or something... try soaking them in contact solution before you put them in. then make sure your hands are washed before you touch them. If you hold your contacts up to the light, you can see "123" on them..... make sure they look like this and are not inside out before you put them in.
Make sure you are using the right type of solution too!
My sister has problems with her contacts that always make her eyes really red and they look like they hurt.
Maybe you should just ask your eye doctor.... he should know something to help and maybe give you a new type of contact to use.
My boyfriend had to go through like 3 different kinds of contacts cuz he had problems with all of them.

Hope you find something to help.
If nothing else, just get a pair of cute glasses and you won't have to worry about the contacts anymore ;0P

What brand of lens are you using?
Maybe it's time to find a more suitable brand.
I wear Focus Dailies (also an 8 hour brand) and they are amazing, I sometimes forget they are even in my eyes.
It's virtually no hassle to put them in either, it takes about 10 secs and I usually only have to try once.

When I first started wearing contacts it took me forever. And now I can honestly do it without a mirror. Just make sure you hands are clean...no towel lint??
