Move you mirrors so there slightly out of line. Therefore every time you look in your mirrors you have to move your head, this will show the examiner that your actually looking.

CHECK ALL THREE MIRRORS!!!

Stay relaxed -- These people see a lot of newbies every day and they're pretty "Nose to the grindstone". They really just want it to be over like you do. Drive slow, drive safe, when preparing to turn, turn on your blinker a little while BEFORE you should (100 feet or so). Keep a WIDE distance between you and the car infront.

As for the mirrors, I can't stress this enough. What I did was I'd find an oil spot on the road, or a spot, or something, and once I passed it, I'd watch in all three mirrors until I saw it again, then I'd go back down the road, and every minute or two, I'd look for a new spot in my mirrors.

Good luck -- It's really not all that bad!

First of all try and be calm - if you appear releaxed then the examiner will have more confidence in your ability, and so increase your chances of passing! Also, it will help you to avoid making silly mistakes that you wouldn't usually do with your instructor.

Another tip is to make sure the examiner sees you checking the mirrors often - check the mirrors in pairs when you are turning or changing lane.

When you are doing a manouvre, make sure you check the blind spot clearly!!

Also don't oversteer - often you need to hold the wheel at an angle and let the car do the work!

I passed my test last week and it is the greatest feeling of achivement - I wish you luck with yours! :-)

My best tips are have a driving lesson end around half an hour of your test , go for a relaxing walk to calm yourself and most of all don't panic if you make a mistake during the test put it to one side of your mind and concentrate on doing better with out getting flustered .

Observation, observation and more observation. Good obvious use of your mirrors is an absolute must. My instructor also moved the interior (rear view) mirror as we left the car to go to the test centre so that I would have to reposition it when I got back to the car - this way the examiner sees that you are doing your preparation checks. Try and relax if you can though that is easier said than done

All the best

pass it in your head before you take the test. but remember its only a driving test, not the be all and end all. i passed my car test first time but i did everything twice untill it was second nature. for my bike test and this is illegal, i taped the mirrors up so i had to look over my shoulder before indicating. think off a routine you can practise with, it could be a nmemonic. try that to your favourite song.

Best tip is "Relax". If you make a mistake during your test don't worry, what's important is how you react to it - obviously if you crash into something or knock someone over then you will fail. If you allow yourself to get flustered then the examiner will fail you.
On my driving test many years ago I was stopped behind a bus on a hill, handbrake on & out of gear, bus moved off - I took handbrake off but forgot I was in neutral and there was a car behind me. I reacted by quickly applying the brakes, handbrake on, selected first gear, gave acknowledgement to driver behind, handbrake off and carried on. I thought I had failed the test because of that but I passed - examiner agreed it was a bad mistake but that I had reacted correctly and appropriately to the situation.

1. Study
2. Learn to drive (it helps to know what you're doing)
3.Study
4.When you take the driving test, RELAX, the instructors deal with high strung people all day (and their jobs suck)-if you're cool they'll probably be cool too
5.Watch out for the other drivers-they're the folks you gotta watch

RELAX!! U know you can do it

if your driving instructor has told you that you can have one then you are ready.

Try not to get nervous and just drive how you would with your instructor

Good luck!!
