When a man volunteers to do the 'BBQ',
the following chain of events are put into motion:

1) The woman goes to the store.

2) The woman fixes the salad, vegetables, and dessert.

3) The woman prepares the meat for cooking, places it in a tray along with the necessary cooking utensils, and takes it to the man, who is lounging beside the grill, 3rd beer in hand.

4) The man places the meat on the grill.

5) The woman goes inside to set the table and check the vegetables.

6) The woman comes outside to tell the man that the meat is burning.

7) The man takes the meat off the grill and hands it to the woman.

8) The woman prepares the plates and brings them to the table.

9) After eating, the woman clears the table and does the dishes

10) Everyone praises the man and thanks him for his cooking efforts.

11) The man asks the woman how she enjoyed "her night off." and, upon seeing her annoyed reaction, concludes that there is just no pleasing
some women. . . .

Some men like to barbecue because the grills are heavy and the steaks are more of a man's meal.

Danger is involved if they decide to turn their barbecue pit into a huge bonfire. Like the day when we had a big charcoal pit in the park and had all those briquettes drizzled with lighter fluid and one match to create a loud firery roar.

The guys had a kick out of it and I was scared speechless. While my vegetable only shiskabobs turned into ashes.

I like to because the food tastes good barbecued, and it's fast cooking. Keeps the heat out of the house by not using the oven.

I love to cook whether it be on the barbque or the stove. I personally think the stove is more dangerous then a barbque, Ive flamed up several grease splatters that got a bit out of control. Burning a bush isnt as dangerous as burning down my house.

Most of my male frens can't cook and they can't even start the fire for barbeque. However, i think they still enjoy it, and try their best to start the fire and cook eventhough they took more than an hour to start the fire and most of the barbeques is overdone. Sorry guys!!!!! hehhe

no... it's because there is fire involved.... not danger.... and it's cooked slow enough that you can drink beer before turning the stuff on the grill over.

No, it's because men like their red meat a certain way and if they cook it themselves, it can be perfect.

I think we just like to smell meat coking. Something tribal about that. No souffles, or fancy pants sh&t. Just meat and heat. Mmmmmmmm.....
