tampons are absolutely out of the question. i know how and i've tried like a million times, and i even went to a doctor cause of it, and there's a actual physical reason that i can't use them, so don't tell me to just use a tampon.

but the thing is is that it's not just that i have to get in the pool and swim laps or whatever cause that would be fine, but i'm going to have to get in and out of the pool and stand on the edge for a long time and things so i'll end up with blood running down my legs or something which would be really humiliating.

it's for a PE class at school, and i know i could just tell the teacher that i'm sick or something and can't go in the water, but i really really don't want to because besides that i don't want to have to actually say it, the class is only once a week and only for like 6 weeks and i really don't want to miss a class.

For starters, it is nice to see you taking a break from a certain subject. From what I have read from others, things happen. Do not feel embarassed. You may not like to hear it, but you are no more special than anyone else that might experience the same thing. Ask your coach if you can reschedule swimming for a later day. Periods only last so long. The coach will understand and if he/she doesn't, they are not doing a good job of being a P.E. teacher.

properly definite you do could positioned on a tampon. If it became painful you've been no longer comfortable sufficient. The pool water received't get absorbed a lot. per chance slightly yet no longer a lot. once you've diffuculty there is allways youtube you may seem at they have an outstanding form of vidoes on that. yet they dont teach the vagina ares.. maximum of them are very self explanitory with helping. wish this helps. My first era began on Thanksgiving 2010 and It became mild the first day and then that nighttime and the second one day it were given heavy so note. and also you'd be UNCOFERTABLE SO BE waiting. It really sucks once you may run because your pads(once you employ em) move round like loopy. So if you're having a heavy era then you really may opt for to positioned on a tampon for the time of PE. wish this helps. :D

if you cannot or do not want to use tampons, thats ok. But you'll have to stay out of the water for the day. do not wear a pad with your swim suit. ugh, think how unsanitary that would be, and you'd really just be ASKING for something embarrassing to happen. If you can't stand the thought of telling your teacher the reason you can't participate have mum write you a note or just simply tell the teahcer you have "girl problems" they'll know what you mean, whether they are male or female. AND DON"T USE A SEA SPONGE UNLESS YOU WANT 1) AN INFECTION and 2) A TRIP TO EMERGENCY TO HAVE IT REMOVED (how embarrassing would that be??)

If you have this problem documented at your doctors office. call them ask them to write your pe teacher a note explaining your situation. then you dont have to tell the teacher.. YOu will learn that as you get older every girl gets it and it shouldnt be embarressing. It really isnt a bif deal plus every one knows girls your age have there period. there is no way to hide it.

I have wore pads since getting my period at age 12. I am now 22 and just barely like two years ago wore tampons and I do not like them, but I will wear them at times. When swimming I used to wear pads, but when in the water I never bled, you are right, it is waiting outside of the water. I would get some boy shorts (black) and wear those with your suit and a smaller pad under that. The pad gets really soggy and wet so do not use a maxi. Good luck.

I agree with Lauren, if you have a women teacher, just explain the situation she will completely understand. And if you have a male teacher, the words "woman troubles" will do the trick.

DO NOT USE A SEA SPONGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they can break up and if part of one broke off inside you, you would have to go to the doctors to get it out.
you will have use a pad or skip the lesson.
so there IS something you enjoy after all shadow of a girl. focus on it and maybe you will feel better!

Im not sure what sort of physical reason would stop you using a tampon, unless you are a virgin with a very thick hymen. Would it be possible for you to use a small sea sponge instead?? They are inserted like a tampon, but they are soft and squishy, so its easy. You can buy them all over the place, one about the size of a golfball would be good. YOu need to wet it first, then put it in. When you need to change it, you can wash it and reuse it right away. If you dont like this idea, you can always tell your PE teacher that its the wrong time of the month and you cant, a female teacher will understand, and from memory if you have a male teacher.... you dont even need to say it, just mutter"Cant swim today, womens troubles." Likely he will be embarassed and say nothing.
