There is a water park called Palm Beach close to Nuremberg. Also, the website below show most of the water parks in Germany.

There is also one in Ansbach (just south of Nürnberg about 45km) that is really nice. It is an indoor-outdoor pool with lots of "special" things like a water slide, wave pool, swim from indoor to outdoor, jacuzzi, "whirlpool", 2 outdoor pools, 1 outdoor kiddy pool, 1 indoor lap pool, 1 indoor kid pool, 1 indoor infant pool, and sauna.
It is called Aquella.

Yes, there are 2 swimming pools near Nürnberg . I am from there and was there this past summer and actually went to both of them. One is in Lauf and the other in Röthenbach. I think both of them are really nice too.
