Are we the only living things in Space? Or do you think there is something else out there? Space is a MASSIVE place and goes on for ever....

I think there is something else out there for sure, we can't just be the only ones... What do you think?

Scientists have already proven that we are not the only *living* creatures in space.

Bacteria, as minute as it seems, IS a living, breathing, productive creature. They have been found in other planets (Not *alive*, mind you).

But to be more specific, I believe there are other quasi-intelligent creatures (I don't feel that humans are intelligent at all -- we serve no purpose. We're AIDS to mother earth) out there. It'd be absolutely impossible for us to be the ONLY critters in a MASSIVE INFINITE space.

Just think about it.

On some distant planet -- They're pondering the very same question.

No aliens exist out there, God never said He created them. If He did create some alien life forms out there, then why are they bound by the laws of entropy governing the Universe, the Curse basically, something Man brought on the Universe(woops?).

You forget the main point, you just say, billions of stars, billions of galaxies. You can't just GET a planet around a star and even if there are planets out there, they are most likely huge gas giants that put Jupiter to shame. The only way scientists can detect a planet, is by the effect it has on it's star that it is orbiting, to have an effect on a star it would need to be quiet large, but also with most stars out there existing as a binary system, that would just screw that solar system too much. After reading this post, think about what you think of it, do you just try and say its crazy? Thats a barrier. Maybe you should seriously think of what evolution does for you in the real world, it does absolutely nothing for me, becuase it is not applicable to daily life, or to anything that can be beneficial in any field of science. You can't believe in evolution & God at the same time, so make your choice. Is evolution really worth an eternity in a place worse than is humanly imaginable? Consider this:

The odds of life spontaneously arising by "chance" on Earth is less than if our whole solar system were filled with blind men, all holding rubiks cubes...aligning all the colours as they should be at the EXACT same time. Go figure those numbers, tiz more than there are atoms in the Universe. Evolution has no benefit to mankind except trying to elevate us to a god-status, ridding mankind of God's judgement. Bad idea, you will pay dearly one day. And you can look back on all the times creationists told you, NO ALIENS. Evolutionism is a patheic excuse for science, no wait, it isn't even science. Evolution is a religion, fervently worshipped by the media to fool this generation, satan is doing a good job so far. Sleep tonight knowing satan owns your soul & eternal destiny.

I remember Patrick Moore said that in our solar system alone there are more planets and stars than grains of sand on the Earth, he said if you imagine just one of those grains of sand was blue in colour that would represent the Earth. Multiply our solar system by the millions of other solar systems out there and you get a picture of just how vast the Universe is and how very very far away other species are. Even the smallest of bacteria is considered life.

I don't believe for a second that we're all alone - but without any evidence one way or the other we can only make an educated guess.

There was a famous equation that worked out the statistical probability of life elsewhere - and it showed that there's probably life all over the universe.

It is absurd to think that a universe like ours would create only one species like us in such a vast space.
In some way the universe developed the capacity to become aware of itself,we are the product.
We are the eyes and ears of the universe.
We observe such a small area that we would be duplicated millions or billions of times by a universe that wanted to understand itself.

I used to think there was no such things as aliens but then I got to thinking space is a big place. We don't know anything about it. There very well maybe others in other galaxies.

I agree. They know there are galaxies with planets that may be similar to our Earth. I am sure there is life somewhere out there even if its very basic like something similar to an amoeba.
There may even be life in our own solar system. Due to the hypothesized ocean beneath its icy surface, Europa (One of the moons of Jupiter) is one of the most likely places in the solar system to host primitive extraterrestrial life.

Go out on a really clear night away from the city lights, its better when its cold...but I digress...
And see the band of the Milky Way.
With an open mind... how can anyone think there is not someone else up there?

Probobly, but we're way too tribal and violent to be contacted by any advanced species don't you think? The Prime Directive (non interference)used on Star Trek goes way beyond just a concept for a tv show. It's just common sense.

If space is as large as we think it's almost mathematically impossible that there is not something else out there.
