It is a type of fungus. A microorganism by definition is micrscopic in size. A mushroom is to big to be considered microsopic, however there are fungus that are microscopic. Mushrooms and fungi ARE organic.

Not as easy a question as you would first think. The mushroom that you see above ground is merely the fruiting body of the fungus. The fungus itself consists of microscopic threads (hyphae) which are below ground, consuming organic matter.
The answer is really yes and no - if it's not reproducing, you would find it hard to see the mushroom hyphae without a microscope - but when it is reproducing, the fruiting body containing the spores (what everyone knows as the "mushroom") is obviously macroscopic.

No. It is a fungus.Grows on decayed material. Some of them are very poisonous also for Human consumption.
