It doesn't hurt for more then a second to get your belly pierced. But that is providing that it is pierced by a professional who knows what they are doing. Doing it yourself without the proper equipment or knowledge will most likely cause yourself much pain. Having a friend (unless a professional) will also not be pain free.
Call around to respectable tattoo parlors and find someone who can do it for you that way.

1. Do NOT do it yourself. You can get all sorts of infections and such. Much more trouble than it's worth
2. It depends on how much weight you mean. My weight has fluctuated a little bit since I've gotten my belly button pierced, and I've seen no difference, but if It's a larger weight difference it could possibly affect it.
3. You should use a bar at first, they catch onto less and are less likely to fall out. They ones they give you for belly buttons are slightly curved so that they can accomodate the area they are in.
4. When I got mine done, I honestly didn't know that they had done it yet. The only problem that I had was that I felt a little dizzy afterwords, but that happens to me all the time with piercings and shots.

don't numb it....just stick it on through,it doesn't hurt. use a circular ring that wont get caught on anything.....beware of anything getting caught in it!! if you lose weight it may look stretched out, that depends on how much weight you re talking about. you really should have a professional do it so you can learn how to take care of it. the belly button is slow to heal and there are many no-nos when you first get it done.it took mine about 6 months for me to feel like it was completely healed, but i got a little infection in mine because i went swimming to soon.

hi
1. I wouldn't say to do it yourself unless you are pretty experienced as quite alot of stuff can go wrong
2. it shouldn't look funny if you lose weight as skin is elastic and will just mould to your new figure
3. don't use a ring use a bar loads of varieties and much cooler
4. at a peircing parlour they numb it then clamp it. The clamp hurts more than he peircng but you feel a bit light headed afterwards but that prob because its all over.
good luck and enjoy showing it off

It may not hurt that much if you prepare yourself physicaly and mentaly before and after the piercing. Read the following article, which I used when i was piercing my belly

I've had mine done twice:
DO NOT do it yourself.
I lost over 30 lbs and saw no difference.
I use the tiny gold rings or the short barbell..the others are messy and get hung on stuff.
It burns a bit when it goes through.
Tips:
CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN. FOLLOW THEIR DIRECTIONS TO THE T.
Don't touch it unless you are CLEANING it
Keep your pants off it.
Try to do it when you are not sweaty...(i.e. summer)
