It's never appropriate to use we focuses on. Focuses can be used only in 2 cases. It's the noun in plural (the focus or the focuses which is not used but grammatically it is correct) or the verb in the 3rd person singular.

If you stick a we at the front then focus is a verb. It cannot be a noun plural. As a verb, the -es ending applies only on the 3rd person singular. We is the 1st person plural. So basically We and -es ending don't mix.

It sounds like a MS Word auto-correction that just went wrong...as they usually do. Or possibly the authors had initially written "This analysis focuses..." which they later corrected but not completely.

The correct response is "We Focus On". It's saying you're giving your direct attention to that particular subject. You never say "We focuses". It just sounds odd. If you want to use a similar saying, say "We'll be focusing on..." "We focused on..." "I focused on..."

NEVER say "We focuses".

So, it would say this:

In our analysis WE FOCUS on the XXX modelling structure of private ... Also, WE FOCUSED on the distribution of costs of car road pricing policies .....

Using WE, It will always be focus rather than focuses. If the past tense is required you'll use we focused. If progressive is required you'll use we are focusing.

We focus. "Focuses" is used with third person singular; "we" is first person plural.

"we" is plural, therefore you use "focus"; had it been a singular subject, like "I", "He", "She", etc., your verb would be "focus"
