I believe we should drop everything and get them out alive. End all opposition in our way and show real force by crushing the ones who decide to get in our way. Only because it has been proved that we where in Iraqi water and not Iranian as they claim. Bring our troops out safe and quickly

They don't know where they are. It just shows what these upstart nations will do when you 'tiptoe' around with them. They wouldn't have dared do this at one time. I think though that the invasion of a country must be considered a more serious act of aggression than the capture of fifteen personnel, although, I don't really want to be drawn into making such comparisons. It is still a serious (and cocky) act, which eventually may need a response.

Too undesirable that the articles of the Code of habit do not notice to British military. They stated too a lot. way too a lot. i'm not asserting that i does not wreck, inspite of the undeniable fact that it would have taken a hellofa lot greater effective than what befell to them to make me even evaluate asserting something. and that i might on no account say something that could reason my united states of america harm or embarassment. *edit* hiya Simon D: it rather is especially not undemanding to declare i don't know what they stated once I've examine the letters from the female and considered all of them on television asserting how sorry they are because of the fact they have been in Iranian waters and the way usa is evil and all people is so incorrect and Iran is so great. do not provide me that rubbish, Simon D. you elect to sympathize with them? bypass forward. i know what desires to be performed in those circumstances and it particular as heck isn't spilling my guts and breaking down after not getting sleep or nutrients for a pair of days. i've got been experienced in get away and evasion, interrogation, and each variety of stuff which you ought to not even start to appreciate. take a seat there on your undemanding chair and talk smack all you like. yet until eventually you have been there and performed that, it does not advise smack to me. you're in basic terms yet another armchair quarterback that thinks they know greater effectual than anybody else.

It seems ironic that the British and Americans have been arresting virtually anyone of Arabic complexion under any pretext, these have included innocent journalists teachers, clerics and students. They have thrown them in jail without trial or bail, subjected them to cruel and inhumane treatment and claimed that they were " Terrorists ". And yes I accept that probably not all of them were innocent.

I am not an arab, and yes I do think that if they were where the Government says they were, then Iran is out of order, and lets face it - our government would never lie to us would they?

However it seems a bit disingenuous to whinge about the sanctity of international law when our own country breaks it with impunity every day. If these were Iranians holding some weird military rituals in the Thames estuary what would be the result? I can't imagine that we would send them merrily on their way! Unfortunately for our servicemen, it is our country who set the standard, and in a tit for tat world we have only ourselves to blame.

Truth is it might be impossible to get to them. The only way we can have a go at them is if the yankees have a go at them too. Then we should steam in with them.
