since they movie has not been rated yet, doesn't come out until July 4th, what do you guys think the movie will be rated?, my opinion is either PG or PG-13, I heard one rumor that Steve Spielberg tried to get an R rating, funny, doing that to a move that was based on a kids cartoon, anyway, what do you guys think it will be?

No way that movie goes out with an R - I guarantee it. The flick was too expensive. They need kids packing the theaters to make it profitable. It will absolutely be a PG-13.

If you take a look at the movies that have come out in recent years, you can see that of the ones based on cartoons, comics, etc., the ones that made it huge were PG-13. Xmen, Spiderman, Fantastic 4, and so on, were all PG-13 because they could have a high enough level of violence and other things to keep people happy while still having a large enough audience to make a ton of money. Movies which were rated R, like Punisher for example, flopped because they were seen by a much smaller audience.

I haven't heard the spielberg report on the R , but i dotn' trust that...after he screwed up AI.

It was a kids cartoon, but anyone who really knows it is grown up now and in the rated R range.

I think it hsould be rated R.....but will probably be pg-pg13 also.

My younger bro is 7 years younger than me. Has no idea what transformers is besides the fact there is a movie coming out soon called that.

Thats what upset me about the TMNT movie. I saw the previews a while back and they looked sick. Then i saw the newer trailers and you hear dialogue and you can tell its a kids movie.

There as a dark adult animated verison suppose to be made that was scrapped which i was originally hoping this is what that was.

yeah I've heard the "R" rated rumor also. However to reach a audience on a large scale, i think it's just gonna be PG-13.
