You could visit a wildlife sanctuary or a national park. Since in summer, all the water holes dry up, the animals come out to rivers in the early morning or evening to drink water. This is the best time to spot them. For spotting tigers, try Bandhavgarh in MP. The dense foliage in eastern MP make the place very scenic. If you are interested in more exotic animals you could head for the Rhino sanctuary in the foothills of the himalayas in West Bengal.
I suggest you purchase an Outlook Traveller's guide. They have a no. of titles like Weekend getaways from Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, etc. It contains indepth an accurate information about the destinations. Also you could find in it a not-so-hyped spot with unmarred beauty, and a lesser buzz of tourists.

Being from Hyderabad, I feel you must have visited all tourist places in South. You can try north east, very interesting places. Book in a low budget airline to Calcutta. Then take a package tour. Being season, many air lines are offering promotional fares. Or go Abroad, like KL, Singapore, Thailand or even Sri Lanka. I am going to Nepal, where there is no need for a visa to Indian Citizens. Book in Rajdhani (Bangalore - Hazrat Nizamuddin), with in 14 hours you will reach Delhi. Then Take Delhi - Katmandu - Delhi, 4D/3N package costs Rs.10,000/- including Airfare, Lodging 4*, breakfast, 2 half day sight seeing in a luxury car. Best thing is go to indiatimes travel.( www.indiatimes.com).

Visit the nearest village where there is no electricity, no cell phone tower and no TV station.
Where Newspaper does not disturb in the morning
Where no one asks you to go to office and attend the customers
Where the local leader do not come for subscription
Where there is no fight between political parties
If you can locate the place please inform me, I would also like to come.
