The American Humane Association - which monitors animal action on set - gave "The Prestige" their highest rating of "Outstanding." You can read their discussion of how the scene was done on their website. I posted the link below.

They definitely didn't kill the bird, if anyone even for a second thought they really killed an animal to make the movie people would go nuts, its a lot easier (especially now a days) to make a little smashed bird replica, then to risk getting fans upset by actually killing the bird and putting it in the movie. I was shocked too by the bird seen but after a while I realized it couldn't be real. I really enjoyed the movie, and encourage my friends to go see it.

I could a lot decide upon to look the well and support others to do the equal. This does come from how i see the sector i assume. Even the darkest stormy days constitute an intriguing sky to be captured in a portray. Cold days imply snuggling up in entrance of a comfortable hearth. Mistakes in our lives offers us a danger to giggle at ourselves and likewise to study a useful lesson or ten. If you take into accout of nature, there may be constantly whatever state-of-the-art every day to be loved, from the smallest bud of a flower commencing to the final petals losing on a rose that has shared it is cosmetic. There are such a lot of extra uncommon matters than there are dangerous, however i assume all of it is dependent upon what your eyes see. :-)
