metals have 1 to 4 valence electrons in their last shell so they become stable by donating electrons
Metals are good conductors of heat and electricity b'coz they have free electrons flowing thru them so therefore they are used in cooking pots

How long have you been taking this class? You should at least know what atomic structure is by now, the year is almost over.
I would suggest that you do your own homework. If you really don't understand, ask your teacher. You need more help understanding the basic concepts.
