Seriously, every time the Indian cricket team underperforms, they complain. Yes, it sucks when you're team loses, and I understand how much cricket is followed in the sub-continent, but seriously, you cannot win every single tournament you play in.

I don't think they will. How many times do you see them going on riots and talking like the whole thing is life or death? Surely there are more important issues for these people. Why don't some of the heroes who enjoy abusing their own team pick up a bat or ball and learn how to play themselves if it is so important.

Yes,you are right

Indian cricket fans take the sport way too seriously
The Indian team is nowhere near Australia and
South Africa, but still the expectations from fans are too
much
At best India could have reached the semis. They played well in WC 2003 and won a Test series in WI,then beat Sri Lanka and WI in ODI series at home a month before the WC

Of course, they have a pretty poor record in SA,WI,NZ
and Australia, almost everywhere away from home and
they don't win too many Test matches. They are better
in ODIS than in Tests
